In this half-day master class, you will be guided through the deeply personal, emotionally expressive and genuinely creative form of Vignette Vivants. This intuitive in-body process was developed by Steven J. York by combining a deep yogic warm-up, to build heat and energy within the body, followed by a guided meditation to bring awareness to the body and subtle body to drive introspection, concluding with on-your-feet movement exercises inspired by Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed “image theatre”. Together these methods are used to encourage the creation of a “living pictures” series and transitions to bring about various states of mind, creative expression and therapeutic alignment of the mind and energies within the body, to express what perhaps cannot be expressed with words alone. "Don't tell me SHOW me."
